Dome

I am still waiting on the sound card so can not complete the electronics board so decided to do a bit of work on the dome. I am going to base the dome, roughly, on an R9 design. The top section of the dome will be the Red lampshade I got from B&Q, the lower section I will make later. I will not follow the R9 design exactly because the dome will have sections cut away keeping with the overall design. Cutting out the holes was fun considering that the steel material is not that thick but once filed down they look ok. The radar eye was made from 18mm MDF and simply carved out until it fitted the contours of the dome. Again I did not want to make this an R2D2 copy and the radar eye's design will differ slightly.
